Practical learning for the conversations that matter
Some of the most important parts of working with people are also the things traditional training tends to skim over. Grief. Neurodivergence. Difficult conversations. Identity. Behaviour. The moments when someone does not respond in the way the model says they should.
We create practical learning for therapists, healthcare professionals, organisations and other people-facing roles. Our courses are designed to make complex ideas clearer, more usable and easier to apply in real situations.
Grief and bereavement
Our Grief Guides training gives you a comprehensive grounding in grief, bereavement and loss, while helping you build the confidence and practical skills to support people through difficult conversations.
The course introduces the Grief Map as a flexible framework for understanding what may be shaping someone’s experience, rather than relying on stages or assumptions about how grief should look.
Alongside the theory, you’ll explore communication, reflection and practical ways of responding when someone is grieving, with learning you can return to and build on over time.
Neurodivergence
Our Neurodivergence & Grief course explores how differences in processing, communication, sensory experience and social expectations can shape grief, and why support that works well for one person may completely miss the mark for another.
It looks at experiences such as alexithymia, sensory needs, literal thinking and different ways of expressing emotion, alongside practical ways to adapt conversations and support. Through real-world examples, role-play videos and reflective exercises, the course helps you recognise what may be happening beneath the surface and respond in ways that are more informed, flexible and neurodiversity-affirming.
Training that helps organisations respond well.
We work with organisations that want to respond better when difficult human experiences show up at work. That might mean grief and bereavement, suicide and postvention, neurodivergence, difficult conversations, or supporting staff through experiences that do not fit neatly into standard wellbeing provision.
Our organisational work can range from a single live session to a much broader programme of learning and implementation. We design webinars, workshops, digital courses, role-specific learning, follow-on resources and ongoing online provision, depending on what the organisation actually needs.
We also work with organisations on the learning and implementation side of BS30480, the British Standard on suicide and the workplace.
That can include core learning for all staff, more detailed pathways for particular roles, postvention resources, digital provision and support with turning the Standard into something people can actually use.
We are particularly interested in helping organisations move beyond one-off awareness training.
Good learning should change what people understand, what they notice and what they are able to do when a difficult situation actually happens. Our approach is collaborative rather than off-the-shelf. We can adapt existing training to a particular workforce, or build something around the realities of your organisation, your people and the situations they are most likely to face.
