Welcome to Elephants In Rooms

This page is for GMP officers and staff. If you need support, please contact any Grief First Aider across the Force. To find one, the intranet pathway is: Homepage – Wellbeing – Internal Support and Peer Support Network. You can also email wellbeingvolunteercoordinators@gmp.police.uk.

You’ve landed here because of the Grief First Aid training programme, provided by Cruse Bereavement Support for officers and staff within the Greater Manchester Police Force. In this video, Sam and Abby (from GMP), and Martin (who is both a Cruse GFA trainer and an Elephant) discuss the beginning of Grief First Aid within the GMP, what the hopes are for it, why it’s needed, and its impact.

We believe in the power of video to enlighten and educate, so here are some of our favourite short videos that we think you’ll enjoy.
